Filter houses and mobile dust collectors for medium-sized companies (Hall11)

LIGNA HannoverNESTRO is a leading global manufacturer of extraction and filter technology, surface technology, heating technology and complete waste management solutions with a global footprint. Its range includes pelletising systems, chipping machines and briquetting presses. At the most recent LIGNA the company implemented its entirely new exhibition concept with great success.

Modern and accessible; NESTRO presented its products and services at four different stands. In the “Handwerk, Holz & mehr – Woodcrafts” category, the NESTRO stand in Hall 11, offered the interested visitor system solutions for small and medium-sized companies such as mobile dust collectors and filter houses in component design. Visitors were invited to experience the advanced technology and the advantages of NESTRO products such as vacuum operation and energy efficiency up close.

Solutions for the furniture industry (Hall 26)

LIGNA 2011The continued high level of international visitors and the expansion of the NESTRO group into an internationally successful solution provider were aptly demonstrated at the exhibit in Hall 26 (furniture industry). As in previous years, the impressive performance capabilities of the NESTRO systems were again demonstrated to the international audience by the application of its extraction system to all the HOMAG machinery. A large number of units installed worldwide were displayed on a big screen as references to visitors. This created a spectacular fusion of stand layout and exhibit presentation, which attracted and captivated visitors in large numbers. In addition, the open plant design greatly contributed to giving visitors the technical insight into the sound functioning and perfect energy-saving potential of NESTRO plants.

Efficient workplace architecture in surface engineering (Hall 22)

In Hall 22 the NESTRO group of companies presented their solutions for surface technology and so made a strong stand in one of the main themes of the exhibition. The clearly structured stand architecture along with impressive interior design drew visitors to the stand. A complete spray-painting booth with heat recovery was demonstrated. In the configuration of these individual systems for its customers, special emphasis is placed on the layout of the spray area and on the process logistics. Before the customer receives a recommendation on which hardware to install, the NESTRO technical adviser analyses the specific space and draws up a customised concept. By producing the perfect workplace architecture, NESTRO significantly increases efficiency for the plant operator, so that the investment in the technology pays off quickly. In this field, NESTRO demonstrated its expertise in de facto applying extraction to the entire spray room, instead of only limited areas, using the principle of low-turbulence displacement flow. Quality-reducing turbulence is effectively prevented by the perfect air flow.

LIGNA 2011: Berkmann NT

The separate NESTRO presence in the field of surface engineering in terms of the new LIGNA exhibition concept was particularly appreciated by visitors to the exhibition. As in the other categories, this resulted in noticeably more qualified trade contacts than at the previous event in 2009. This gave visitors the opportunity to discover that through the use of the NESTRO system concept a supplier will be ideally equipped for its products – with surfaces that meet the highest possible quality standards. Individual customised solutions complete the well-engineered, turnkey product segments BASIC, COMPACT and TOPLINE as they could be viewed at the LIGNA.

Bio-energy and waste wood recycling (Hall 13)

Finally, with its first appearance in Hall 13 (bio-energy generation/waste wood recycling), the NESTRO group displayed its innovative strength in the area of renewable energy and exhibited a flat die pelleting press design as solution for wood processing plants. These included a chipper and a combination of dust collector and briquetting press from the company's product range. Visitors could also observe this all-inclusive system in operation. The processed material was conveyed by transport air to be pelletised, the residual dust-containing process air extracted via the dust collector and discharged dust-free into the environment – a closed circuit.

At this stand in Hall 13, Nestro Lufttechnik also presented another technical innovation in the form of a boiler with power turbine. The research and development department of the NESTRO group of companies is currently working hard to further develop this solution with its parallel generation of heat and electricity from the combustion of waste from wood processing. Against the background of the current discussion on the phasing out of nuclear energy the response was tremendous. Apart from the “hot air and energy”, this stand also generated many concrete enquiries for NESTRO. Proof that it was advantageous for NESTRO to present itself in this category as supplier and that its turnkey solutions are hitting the mark.

A positive outcome

The NESTRO group of companies is therefore satisfied with an overall healthy order book and expects further significant increases in new orders, especially in the young business segment of renewable energy. The stream of qualified enquiries in all categories, which was received at the LIGNA, will reinforce the positive trend of recent months.

So the NESTRO group of companies has again fully subscribed to the LIGNA motto of “Making more of wood: innovative, efficient, trend-setting”; and combines its gratitude to all those interested with the optimism that the results of the trade fair will have a lasting positive impact on business performance.
