Air sifters

First the lightweight fraction (film, paper) is pneumatically raised and extracted. Then a more powerful incoming airflow separates the medium fraction (wood, plastic residue) from the remaining material stream.

These materials drop down through a separating plate onto a conveyor. The heavy fraction (glass, ceramics, stones, concrete) is collected at the end.

Simple Air sifters consist of a blower hood and an extraction hood. They can separate up to three different fractions.
