Separator valve
A separator valve is used to separate and further differentiate lightweight fractions removed from the material stream (e.g. film and paper lightweight fraction). Even materials such as video and warning tapes are readily separated.
The valve is divided into underpressure and overpressure zones.
In the underpressure zone, the material being separated is drawn in and transported into the compartments of the rotary valve. The speed of the rotary valve is continuously variable to meet the respective requirements. Conveying air escapes unhindered through the perforated sides of the rotor.
The rotating separator is designed to that two valve chambers are always available in the non-pressurised lower section for venting and unloading. When one of the valve chambers reaches the non-pressurised lower section, the material being separated falls from the valve chamber due to gravity.
This technology guarantees immunity to audio tapes and other long, fibrous impurities.
The unloading process is supported by purge air so that optimum throughput and cleaning of the valve chambers are achieved.
