Intermediate filters and backpressure filters

In NESTRO INTERMEDIATE FILTERS, the untreated gas is separated in the intake section. The treated air can be returned to the production hall.

The advantage of the NESTRO INTERMEDIATE FILTER is that it can be upgraded to handling air flows over 200,000 m3/h because it consists of modules which can be added at any time.

If the intermediate filter is equipped with the NESTRO backpressure system (shaking plus purge air) it is suitable for continuous service: In addition, backpressure filters are fitted with filter purge air system for continuous cleaning. Every filter element is treated as a separate chamber for cleaning. This makes the filter ready for service 24 hours.

With this combination of purge air and throttle, air is blown through the filter hoses outside to inside. Motorized cleaning acts as a back-up system. The purge air is obtained from the dry return air, moist outdoor air would clog the filter hoses. The filter hoses do not contact the enclosure when they are cleaned by shaking, so vibration does not cause wear or tear.
