Clean combustion, even with challenging fuels, with the targeted mixing of preheated secondary air and / or fluidised air ensures complete burnout at high temperatures. By falling significantly below the limits imposed by the Technical Instructions on Air Quality, future requirements do not pose a problem for operators of NESTRO systems. The 4-wall design results in extremely low radiant heat loss from the centre boiler.

An optional reciprocating grate permits burning moist waste wood with a water content of more than 75 ATRO (absolutely dry). For difficult fuels, NESTRO offers a moving grate in two different versions. This effectively prevents slagging of the grate and permanently homogenises the firebed.
