A professional silo for the wood industry from NESTRO® is the ideal solution for companies that prioritize the safe, clean, and rational storage of their production residues. In modern manufacturing environments, these systems enable the efficient storage of wood chips, sawdust, and other dry materials. Thanks to its heavy-duty construction, a NESTRO® silo for the wood industry is perfectly tailored to meet the rigorous demands of sawmills, joineries, and industrial production plants, ensuring a smooth material flow within the waste management chain. Our sheet metal silo designs are particularly impressive due to their durability and adherence to the highest safety standards regarding fire and explosion protection. These specialized containers not only offer immense storage capacity within a small footprint but also reliably protect the stored material from external weather conditions. Furthermore, a sheet metal silo from NESTRO® can be perfectly integrated into existing extraction and filter systems. This allows wood waste to be conveyed directly from production into the silo, where it can be safely stored until it is used for thermal recovery or collected for disposal. By investing in a high-quality silo for the wood industry, businesses benefit from a maintenance-friendly and stable solution that optimizes internal logistics. Whether used as a buffer for briquetting presses or as a feeding system for heating plants, the sheet metal silo stands for stability and efficiency—from initial planning to daily industrial operation.
The NESTRO sheet metal silo NBS is a steel construction with galvanized steel sheet paneling with a structural design for an explosion pressure load of 0.2 bar (reduced dust pressure surge based on a Kst value of 150 bar*m/s). It is available in 18 sizes with a volume of between 101 and 419 m³. It has a self-supporting roof that is used to mount a ceiling filter or a cyclone. The silo is erected on a flat concrete surface.
Fully compliant with guideline 2014/34/EU. Structure certified according to EN 10204 3.1.
