NESTRO presents two smart M2M (Machine-to-Machine) solutions for the automated exchange of information between system equipment and e.g., a control centre. From now on the customer has two telematic options to choose from: Via customer WAN (router) or via SIM card. Using a connections to the customer’s WAN an industrial router exchanges data with other Ethernet participants regardless of the manufacturer - for instance with programmable logic controllers (PLC) - via encrypted VPN tunnel on the basis of the secure Open-VPN protocol. The partner Deutsche Telekom, Germany, offers a SIM card (modem) as alternative solution allowing a data volume of up to 5 MB/months. Introducing these two M2M solutions we are now in a position to offer remote monitoring, control and maintenance for machines and systems at a reasonable price.
