Recycling of edgeband waste
NESTRO is concept partner of REHAU Interior Solutions
At the 32nd edition of the edgeband symposium at the HOMAG Group on March 23, 2023 in Schopfloch, the organizer REHAU presented a program for the return and recycling of unused edgebands in the original packaging, among other things, as part of the presentation of its new sustainable zero-joint edgebands RAUKANTEX eco.protect. At the same time, work is also being carried out with pilot customers on the return of edgeband sections and chips. This saves users disposal costs and returns the recyclable materials (ABS or PP) to the processing cycle. The concept partner for the energy-efficient extraction, separation, and filtering of residual materials in the REHAU test projects is NESTRO Lufttechnik GmbH, for which Richard Schlingmann, Director Application Engineering, already presented possible solutions for pilot systems at the symposium. Just in time for LIGNA 2023 (May 15 to 19 in Hanover), NESTRO can present the REHAU ReTurn edgeband take-back concept to a broader public at its booth no. G05 in Hall 15.
